The Museum of River Navigation is one of the rare examples in Italy of a museum collection dedicated to inland water navigation.
Now owned by the Municipality of Battaglia Terme, it was born from the collecting passion of a number of former barcarians, among whom the name Riccardo Cappellozza stands out, and from the common desire to safeguard and pass on the heritage of memory and traditions linked to a social, economic and cultural system that has now disappeared but is an integral part of a collective legacy with very ancient roots.
